Terms of Use
Last updated
Tidix is sold by Marco Elizalde through Paddle. You buy a perpetual license for a set number of Macs, with every future update included. These terms explain what you get, what you agree to, and where our responsibility ends.
Who sells Tidix
Tidix is made and sold by Marco Elizalde, an individual based in Querétaro, Querétaro, Mexico, who trades as Tidix. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Marco Elizalde, and “you” means the person or organization that buys or uses Tidix.
You can reach us at support@tidix.app.
Accepting these terms
By buying a license, activating Tidix, or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not buy or use Tidix.
Buying through Paddle
Our online reseller is Paddle, which is the merchant of record for every Tidix order. Paddle handles the order, the payment, sales tax, invoicing, and returns.
When you buy Tidix, Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase itself. These terms apply to the license and to your use of Tidix.
Your license
A Tidix license is a one-time purchase. It does not expire and is not a subscription. It includes every future update to Tidix at no extra cost.
Each license covers a number of Macs, called seats. You choose how many at checkout:
- 1 Mac.
- 5 Macs.
- 6 to 100 Macs, priced per Mac.
Activating Tidix on a Mac uses one seat, and activating the same Mac again does not use another. To move a seat to a different Mac, deactivate the license in Tidix on the old Mac, or sign in to your account on this website and remove the old Mac there.
The license lets you install and use Tidix on as many Macs as it has seats. It is a license to use the software, not a sale of it: we keep every right in Tidix that these terms do not give you.
Using Tidix without a license
Without a license, Tidix runs in a free mode that shows CPU and memory only. You can use it to try Tidix on your Mac before you buy. A license unlocks everything else.
Activation and license checks
To activate, Tidix sends your license key to our server, together with a hashed identifier for your Mac, your Mac's computer name, and the app version. While your Mac is online, Tidix checks the license once a day.
If your Mac is offline, Tidix keeps working for up to 14 days after its last successful check. After that, it returns to free mode until it can check the license again.
Our Privacy Policy explains what these checks send and what we keep.
When a license is revoked
We revoke a license when its purchase is fully refunded or when a chargeback against it is accepted. A revoked license no longer activates Tidix. Each Mac that used it returns to free mode at its next license check, or at the latest when its 14-day offline period ends.
Our Refund Policy explains how refunds work.
Acceptable use
When you use Tidix, you agree not to:
- Share your license key with people or Macs beyond the seats you bought.
- Bypass, disable, or tamper with activation or license checks, or help anyone else do so.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Tidix, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
- Use Tidix for anything unlawful.
Processes, the helper, and your Mac
Tidix reads system information on your Mac to show it to you. It reads that information locally and does not send it anywhere.
Tidix can quit or force-quit processes when you tell it to. Ending a process can lose unsaved work or make other apps or macOS misbehave. You choose which processes to end, and you are responsible for the result.
Some features use an optional privileged helper, which runs with elevated permissions on your Mac. Installing it is your choice. Install it only if you want the features that need it.
No warranty
We work to make Tidix accurate and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied. That includes any promise that Tidix will be free of errors, work without interruption, suit a particular purpose, or show exact readings.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data, profits, or business, that come from using Tidix or being unable to use it. Our total liability for any claim about Tidix is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
Some laws do not allow these limits. Where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law permits.
Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under a law that a contract cannot override.
Governing law
The laws of Mexico govern these terms. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live; this choice of law does not take it away.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we post the new version on this page with a new date. Changes apply from that date and do not apply retroactively to purchases made before it.
