Tidix does not track you. The Mac app has no telemetry or analytics, and your metrics stay on your Mac. We keep only what we need to sell you a license, keep it working, and prevent abuse.

Who is responsible

Marco Elizalde, an individual based in Querétaro, Querétaro, Mexico, who trades as Tidix, is responsible for your personal data (the controller). You can reach us at support@tidix.app.

In short

  • The Mac app sends nothing about how you use your Mac. It contacts our server only to activate, check, and deactivate your license.
  • Paddle takes your payment. We never receive your card details.
  • This website has no analytics and no advertising trackers.
  • We do not sell your data.

The Mac app

Tidix reads system information on your Mac to show it to you. That information, including your metrics history, stays on your Mac. The app has no telemetry and no analytics.

The app connects to our server only to activate, check, and deactivate your license. Each of these requests sends:

  • Your license key.
  • A hashed identifier for your Mac, so the license can count it as one seat.
  • Your Mac's computer name, so you can recognize it in your account.
  • The app version.

When update checks are available in the app and turned on, Tidix may contact GitHub to look for a new version. GitHub receives that request under its own privacy policy.

“Search online” opens a search in your web browser only when you choose it.

Purchases

Paddle runs checkout as our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle collects your payment details and processes them as an independent controller, under its own privacy notice.

After a purchase, Paddle sends us:

  • Your email address.
  • Paddle's order and customer identifiers.
  • The amount, tax, and currency.
  • What you bought, such as the number of seats.

We use this to create your license, email you the key, and keep tax and accounting records.

Licenses and devices

For each license, we keep the license key, the number of seats, its status, and, if it was revoked, the reason. For each Mac that activates it, we keep the hashed identifier, the computer name, the app version, and when the Mac was activated and last checked in.

Each time a license is activated, checked, or deactivated, and each time you remove a Mac from your account, we record the event with the IP address and the user agent (the app or browser identifier) of the request. We use these records to prevent fraud and license abuse and to handle disputes, such as chargebacks.

Your account

You sign in to your account with your email address: we email you a sign-in link, and there is no password. We also save the language you choose for the account pages.

Support emails

When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it to answer you.

This website and cookies

This website has no analytics and no advertising trackers. Its public pages, including this one, set no cookies.

The sign-in and account pages use strictly necessary cookies only:

  • Session cookies from Supabase, our sign-in provider, which keep you signed in.
  • NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers your language.

Paddle's checkout script loads only when you click a buy button. Paddle may then set its own cookies, as its privacy notice describes.

Why we use your data

  • To perform our contract with you: create and deliver your license, activate and check it, run your account, and answer your emails.
  • For our legitimate interests: prevent fraud and license abuse, keep our systems secure, and handle disputes and chargebacks.
  • To meet legal obligations: keep tax and accounting records of purchases.

Service providers

These providers help us run Tidix:

  • Paddle: checkout, payment, tax, and invoicing, as an independent controller.
  • Supabase: our database and account sign-in.
  • Vercel: hosting for this website and our license server.
  • Resend: delivery of the email with your license key.

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. They offer appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

How long we keep data

  • Purchase, license, and device records: for the life of the license, plus 5 years.
  • IP addresses and user agents recorded with license events: 12 months.
  • Account data: until you ask us to delete it, except the records above that we must keep.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • Give you access to your personal data.
  • Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your data.
  • Stop or restrict how we use it.
  • Give you a copy in a portable format.
  • Stop using it where we rely on your consent.

Under Mexican law, these include your ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition) and the right to limit the use or disclosure of your data.

To use any of these rights, email support@tidix.app. We answer within the deadlines the law sets. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not use it for advertising.
  • We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Children

Tidix and this website are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page with a new date.
